Since 1985, D’Angelo’s Wine & Spirits has been a family business with a knowledgeable staff committed to customer service and helping each customer who walks through our doors find the perfect product. We offer a wide range of traditional and specialty liquors, wines, and beers, plus tobacco products, ice and glassware, all at everyday low prices.
A Family Business Since the Beginning
Sam D’Angelo opened a small variety store in Chicopee, MA in 1946. His son, Sam Jr., worked for him and then entered the wholesale business in 1968. After Sam Jr. sold his company in 1985, he still had the desire to be in business, so he bought a liquor store in South Windsor, CT, naming it D’Angelo’s Wine & Spirits.
By 1989, Sam Jr. had three stores, in Springfield and Chicopee, MA and South Windsor, CT. He passed away in 1992, and his two sons have been running the stores ever since. Today, they own two stores, but they are always on the lookout for another great opportunity.
